In 2014, we bred our big winning girl Margeaux (co owned and co bred with Mary and John Beerworth of Longtrail kennels) to a dog we fell in love with, both for his show titles and performance titles and his sweet temperament………..Boondock!      The Young Guns litter arrived and we were SO pleased with the result.

After much deliberation, we kept the Pistol puppy, who is now Rio, our HHH Top Gun.

A lovely solid liver boy, he had some BIG wins in 2015, starting with a Best puppy in Sweeps at his first Specialty show at 6 months of age and then on to Reserve Winners Dog!

Shown on a limited and select basis, Rio was WD at the Mayflower GSP Specialty show in August and Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the GSPCA Regional Specialty show in Long Island.

Following in his mother’s Best of Winners footsteps from 2013 at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Canada National Specialty show, Rio didn’t stop at Best of Winners. He was also Best Puppy and Best Bred by Exhibitor at the National Specialty under respected judge Carl Liepman! 

At the GSPCC Regional Specialty the next day, he was Best Puppy and Best of Winners under respected breeder judge Linda Flynn and shown by pro handler Rhoda Ace!

Once again, we headed off to the big sporting specialty weekend at the Stormont Dunross and Glengarry weekend in Ontario, where Rio finished his Canadian Championship……….and besting his grandmother Izzy’s puppy sporting group win, he won the puppy Sporting Group TWO days in a row! His first day out as a special he went Select dog over some top specials for his first Grand Champion points!

Rio is taking some time off for bird season! We are looking forward to GREAT things from this young dog. He is being shown selectively while he grows up and continues to finish his health clearances.
